NITI Aayog Registration

NITI Aayog Registration

Most government departments, CSR funders, and development agencies now ask NGOs to provide a unique NITI Aayog registration number before considering grants or partnerships. It’s not a legal license — it’s a central identity system that validates your NGO and brings transparency to how welfare funds are utilized.

If you want access to government schemes, CSR opportunities, or national-level collaborations, this registration is essential.

What is NITI Aayog Registration?

A voluntary onboarding of NGOs and social organizations on the NGO-DARPAN Portal, maintained by NITI Aayog and the Ministry of Electronics & IT. After registration, the organization receives a Unique ID (DARPAN ID) used for funding, compliance, mapping, and documentation.

Why NGOs need it

  • Mandatory for CSR-1 and CSR funding eligibility

  • Builds authenticity and transparency

  • Helps donors verify legal existence and activities

  • Simplifies documentation and reporting

  • Enhances credibility during due diligence

Who can apply?
